Turkey Creek Mayor Heather Cloud could not be reached for comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The secretary of state can\u2019t change voting laws unilaterally, but could push the Louisiana Legislature for new voting restrictions if he or she wanted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nola.com\/news\/2018\/10\/24-states-made-it-harder-to-vote-will-louisiana-be-next.html\" target=\"_blank\">24 states made it harder to vote.
